Improving the Efficiency of Microfluidic devices through Voltage Optimization

Electrophoresis is the phenomena where a fluid in a microfluidic circuit can be moved and pumped around purely through the application of high voltage, related to that, insulator-based dielectrophoresis (iDEP) is an electrophoresis method but with the induction of non-uniform electric fields introduced into a microchannel. When there is a narrowing or an obstacle in the path we can obstruct particles in the fluid while passing through the fluid itself.
